The Samurai Foundation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, religious and/or educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3)of the Internal Revenue Code.
Mission Statement
The primary purpose of The Samurai Foundation is to provide a holistic approach to working with youth and families by developing strategies that will educate and inspire!
Focus of Work
- Provide self esteem and empowerment workshops in the Columbia community
- Provide life skills to both children and adults
- Provide after school and self esteem programs
Areas of Supporting Interest
Provide free character and self defense training at Samurai Karate Studio
Provide stranger danger workshops for children
Provide non-violent anti-bully strategy workshops for children
Provide self defense workshops for women
Provide personal one on one training for domestic violence survivors
Provide Diabetes awareness
Present peace education through acts of kindness
Develop project based leadership initiative for children
Present environmental self defense program for children and adults
The Samurai Foundation is very much interested in partnering with the Richland 2 School District, the Richland County Sherrif's Department and any local service groups that serve the greater Columbia, Richland Northeast and Blythewood area.
